Tampa Watering Restrictions: Days and Hours for October 2026

Tampa residents have a useful reason to check their irrigation timers: the city’s drought-extension announcement says regional restrictions continue through March 31, 2027. This is an extension of existing restrictions, not a new rule imposed today.

For ordinary lawn irrigation inside Tampa city limits using city or well water, the last digit of the street address determines the weekly watering day: 0–1 Monday, 2–3 Tuesday, 4–5 Wednesday, 6–7 Thursday and 8–9 Friday.

The allowed windows are midnight–4 a.m. or 8 p.m.–11:59 p.m., using one window on the designated day. Properties of at least one acre have separate guidance.

A Tampa mailing address does not establish city jurisdiction. Mixed-address properties, other water sources and special uses also need a separate check.

Use the current city rules and exceptions before changing a timer. The full guide also points readers toward free city conservation assistance.
